The 2016 US History Bee National Championships is just around the corner on Friday, April 22, and we’ve extended the registration deadline to Wed., April 13 at 11:59pm EDT! All National Qualifying Exams must be taken by then too – if you wish to take an exam still, please email director@historybowl.com as soon as possible to request it! Please be sure to register for Nationals via the link here (if you are coming just for USHB, just fill in the personal data and USHB portions of the form).   • Welcome to the US History Bee!


    The US History Bee is an individual social studies competition focusing exclusively on American history for primary and secondary school students across the USA. The US History Bee is administered by International Academic Competitions and like all IAC competitions puts an emphasis on what students are learning in the classroom, and rewards their passion for learning.

    The Varsity / JV US History Bee consists of two stages. The first is the National Qualifying Exam, which students can take either at our Regional sites in person, or online. The second is the National Championships which take place in April 2023. The Middle and Elementary School Divisions of the US History Bee are contested solely at the June 2023 IAC Middle and Elementary School National Championships. These Divisions are open to anyone in 8th grade or younger who has qualified for the National Championships of the National History Bee. For all age divisions, the US History Bee runs exclusively as a buzzer-based quiz tournament at the National Championships.
