USHB National Championships Registration Deadline Extended to April 13

The US History Bee 2015 National Championships deadline has been extended through Monday, April 13 at 11:59pm EDT. After that, there is no guarantee you will be admitted to the draw. Likewise, any students taking a proctored National Qualifying Exam as a last chance to qualify for Nationals must also do so by this time, and send their registration in right away before the deadline expires. Registration can be done either here or on the homepage of the National History Bee and Bowl in conjunction with other Nationals events (note that the deadline for registration for the Varsity & Junior Varsity US Geography Olympiad, the National History Bee, and the National History Bowl is likewise on Monday, April 13 at 11:59pm EDT.

  • Welcome to the US History Bee!


    The US History Bee is an individual social studies competition focusing exclusively on American history for primary and secondary school students across the USA. The US History Bee is administered by International Academic Competitions and like all IAC competitions puts an emphasis on what students are learning in the classroom, and rewards their passion for learning.

    The Varsity / JV US History Bee consists of two stages. The first is the National Qualifying Exam, which students can take either at our Regional sites in person, or online. The second is the National Championships which take place in April 2023. The Middle and Elementary School Divisions of the US History Bee are contested solely at the June 2023 IAC Middle and Elementary School National Championships. These Divisions are open to anyone in 8th grade or younger who has qualified for the National Championships of the National History Bee. For all age divisions, the US History Bee runs exclusively as a buzzer-based quiz tournament at the National Championships.
